Hello again! Man, it has been a long while since my last post. I have missed writing, but I really needed that break. No need to worry though, I am here to catch you up on all things Nat.
My last post was around Thanksgiving last year. Since then, I have been on a few trips, too many baseball games, and of course, working. Right after Christmas last year, I took off for a week to spend time with my aunt and her family in Plano, Texas. It was my first time to travel without a family member or friend. The flight there was absolutely horrible. It was supposed to be a short 50 minute flight, but due to weather it turned into a three hour flight. It was miserable! The turbulence was so bad that several passengers (including me) ended up getting sick. It quickly became a great trip once I got there. We went to the zoo, did some shopping, and just relaxed.
Around April, it was time for baseball in Amarillo. We got our very own Double-A team, The Amarillo Sod Poodles. A sod poodle is a prairie dog in case you did not know. My employer bought season tickets and everyone in the office got to take turns going to the games. It was such a fun experience. It was nice to add another etertainment option to the nightlife in Amarillo.
A few weeks ago, we left for Cancun. It was our one last trip for summer. We went with my aunt and her family from Plano. We were there for a whole week and the weather was perfect. It was humid, but at least there were no hurricanes. We stayed at The Ocean Riviera Paradise by H10 Hotels. It was a huge all inclusive resort. There were so many things to do at the resort and it was family friendly. The girls enjoyed massages on the beach, I took a class to learn to make sushi, and of course everyone got a good tan or sunburn. It was such a fun trip and so fun to get to travel with family.
Now it is my favorite time of year and time to get back to writing. So stay tuned for more posts. I promise I will not wait a year like I did before.
