Well, now that Halloween is over we can officially start planning for Thanksgiving/Black Friday. I am not big on Halloween, but I do enjoy forcing my dogs to dress up. There is just something about a dog in a costume that makes me happy.
My church puts on a Fall Festival each year. We have games, food, hay rides, and trunk or treat. The whole community comes to enjoy the fun. If you want to see all the fun we have each year, watch this video. My mom and I participate in the trunk or treat and we always include the dogs. Two years ago was the presidential election, so we did our own election for “Doggy Trump” and “Hillary Barkin’ Clinton.” It was a huge hit, and Doggy Trump won that night as well.

This year we decided that we would be bumble bees upon finding the cutest bumble bee costumes for the dogs. My mom and I kept it simple with the antennas. Every year we try to make our trunk better since there is a prize for the winner. This year we decided to add a game to ours. We used our corn hole game and turned the board into a flower. We let the kids try to toss the bumble bee’s to the flower. Even if they did not make it in the center of the flower, we still gave them candy – Bit-O-Honey, of course. We had to stick with the theme. We always have the best time at the fall festival.
I would love to see all of your costumes as well. What are some of your favorite Halloween traditions? Leave a comment or photo below. Now, is anyone else ready for Thanksgiving? It is one of my favorite holidays. Now that Halloween is over, it is turkey time.
