Fall Nail Guide

Fall nail colors are the best. The warm, deep colors add a richness that is uniquely expressed in autumn. Previously, I did a “5 Summer Nail Polishes” blog post and it was all about bright colors. The fall colors I chose are some of my favorite because I love all things fall.

  • Essie “Take Me To Thread” – I love my dark grays in the fall. I will also carry this color into the winter as well. The best part about this polish is that it covers very well which means you can get away with one coat. With the perfect shade of gray, this color is a win for all skin tones.
  • OPI “Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around” – AKA the perfect nude. I was so impressed with this color. I tend to have a love/hate relationship with nude nail polishes. This one is a love. It covered great and did not look transparent. It also is perfect for someone like me who has a warm skin tone. It is my new go-to neutral color.
  • OPI “Less Is Norse” – Online they call this dark blue, but I felt like it was not quite blue and not quite gray. It is more like the two colors put together. It makes it a beautiful color that is even more beautiful on. It also has amazing coverage and I must say I almost like it more than just my “in the box” dark gray that I always wear. I will definitely be wearing this color a lot during fall as well as winter.
  • OPI “Como Se Llama?” – Now for a little bit of color, I went with a deep red. I usually do not choose red for my nails because it reminds me of blood. I know; that sounds weird.  It is the prettiest shade of red and it is perfect for fall. You could also carry it into winter for your holiday festivities.

I have standards when it comes to nail polish. I am looking for good coverage and long-lasting wear. I am hard on my hands so I need a polish that can withstand my job. This was my first time to use OPI nail polish and I have to say I am impressed with the quality. I will definitely be buying more. I would love to see your favorite fall colors or some new ones you have found this season. Leave a comment below.
