It has officially been one year since I started my blog. I thought it would be a good time to officially introduce myself to my new readers.
My name is Natalie, and I am almost 21. My birthday is in 13 days! I live in Amarillo, Texas but grew up in Bushland, Texas which is just about seven miles west of Amarillo. My parents moved our family to Bushland in 2002. I think that was one of the best decisions they have ever made.
I went to school in Bushland from the time I started kindergarten ’til the time I graduated high school in 2014. I then went to the local community college where I pursued a degree in Business Management with a focus in Marketing. After graduating from Amarillo College, I went to West Texas A&M University where I took an education on demand class to become a COA, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. I completely finished all of my schooling in August 2017.
In September of 2017, I started my first full time job and got my own apartment. I worked for an Optometrist in Amarillo as an Ophthalmic Technition. It was great to gain experience and get my foot in the door. After a few months of working there, I accepted a job offer from a bigger Optometrist office in town. I started as an optician a few weeks ago and I’m loving it.
I have always had a love for writing and fashion/beauty. Last year, I finally decided to take the “jump” and combine my two loves into one. I started “all about nat” on this exact day last year. If you are new to following my blog, you can read my very first blog post here.
When I am not working I am usually spending time with my family or my dog, London. My parents still live in Bushland where my dad is the senior pastor of the local church, The Church at Bushland, and my mom is the event coordinator. I have one older brother, who lives in Amarillo with his dog, Siri. He owns his own business called Kidunot Technologies. He developes apps for businesses. He has been doing that since he was in high school. He will graduate from West Texas A&M University in May, with a degree in Computer Information Systems and Business Management.
That is just a small summary about me. I want to say, “Thank you,” to all my readers for supporting me this year.
