Inside My Makeup Bag

To start off, you should know that I love makeup. I love buying it, wearing it, and watching videos of people applying makeup. Over the last few years, my makeup bag has grown into a makeup basket. If I am being honest, I might have a problem with buying makeup…I have picked out some of my go to everyday products to show you. Now, I have more products than this, but they do not get used as much as these.

First, Foundation, I use Clinique’s Even Better liquid foundation. I love this product because it covers EVERYTHING. I do not have to wear concealer with this foundation. I apply it with a beauty blender. I seriously could not live without my beauty blender. It makes my makeup look airbrushed. I then finish off my foundation with some pressed powder. I use Bare Minerals Bareskin Perfecting Veil. I like this product because it gives me a matte finish.

Second, I use a lot of Benefit products. At the top left corner of the picture, there is the Roller Lash mascara and Badgal waterproof mascara. I like the Roller Lash mascara because it helps curl my eyelashes. I wear the Badgal waterproof mascara when I go swimming or to the beach. To the right of the mascaras, there is the Porefessional and Fakeup. I love the Porefesional, I apply a tiny bit under my eyes each day. It is the best thing I have found to cover pores. I also love the Fakeup concealer. Now I do not use it every day but only occasionally as needed. On the bottom left, you will see “That Gal” primer. I love this primer because it really helps brighten my face making me look more awake even when I am exhausted. Next, you will see the Ka-Brow, This is my all time favorite product for filling in my eyebrows. My number is three, which is a light brown. The best thing about it is that it lasts all day without smudging. Lastly, you will see the High Beam highlighter and the Hoola bronzer. I love love love these two products. If you do not know where to apply highlighter and bronzer, stay tuned because I will talk in more detail on that topic in another blog.

Third, eyeshadow, I LOVE all of the Urban Decay Naked Palates. I always prime my eyelids before I apply eyeshadow. This helps my eyeshadow last all day without smudging. I primarily use the Naked 3 palate because I have hazel eyes. The neutral and pink tones do a great job of highlighting my eye color. Also, be ready because this month Urban Decay’s new Naked Heat palate will be available at Ulta.

Fourth, eyeliner and the world’s greatest mascara, according to me that is. I use the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in black. I fell in love with this eyeliner a few years ago because it is waterproof, liquid, and is so easy to use when doing a wing. My everyday mascara is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. This is literally the holy grail of mascaras. It lengthens as well as adding volume to your lashes. I will never use another mascara.

Lastly, I found this brand of makeup at Ulta called Revolution. I tried it out and I loved their blush it goes on well and it gives a nice subtle color. For my lips, I use Clinique’s Chubby Stick in “whole lotta honey.” I top it off with Victoria’s Secret Velvet Matte cream lip stain in “adored.” I finish off my makeup with a setting spray. I prefer Urban Decay’s De-slick for oil control.

That’s just a few of my favorite products and how I use them. So, tell me – what’s in your makeup bag?

  1. Is that eyeliner hard to get off with makeup remover? I’ve used a waterproof before and could NOT get it off at the end of the day.
